About Me

Built on experience, driven by execution, and focused on building things that last

My career has been shaped by a combination of technical depth, leadership responsibility, and a consistent drive to build, improve, and deliver results. Whether in IT, business, or personal projects, I focus on creating things that work — and continue to work over time.

Professional Background

Three decades of experience built across leadership, systems, and execution

I bring over three decades of experience in IT leadership, operations, and execution, with a career that has evolved from hands-on technical work into executive-level responsibility across complex, highly regulated environments.

I’ve led teams spanning security, infrastructure, helpdesk, systems, web, and telecommunications, while overseeing large-scale projects, budgets, and compliance programs including ISO, HIPAA, FISMA, and federal contract requirements.

What defines my career is not just progression, but trust. Early on, I was brought into a small, family-owned IT company as their first hire outside the ownership group. Years later, long after I had moved on, they approached me about taking over the business as they prepared for retirement. That moment reinforced something I’ve always believed – the way you lead, the way you show up, and the standard you hold leaves a lasting impact.

Today, my work sits at the intersection of leadership, technology, and execution. I don’t just manage systems – I build, improve, and drive the environments around me.

Leadership & Approach

I lead by example. Whether it’s stepping into a 27-hour migration effort, working extended hours to meet critical deadlines, or supporting operational responsibilities beyond what is expected at a leadership level, I believe credibility is built through action.

My leadership style is hands-on, structured, and consistent. I focus on organization, clear communication, and accountability, while maintaining an environment where people feel supported and aligned.

Over the years, I’ve been told more than once that I was the best manager someone had worked for – something I take pride in, because it reflects a balance I work hard to maintain: strong leadership without losing the human side of the job.

I believe the best teams are built on trust, clarity, and shared ownership of outcomes.

Building, Branding & Business Development

Beyond my corporate career, I’ve built and operated multiple ventures that reflect the same principles I bring to my professional work.

As President of the South Shore Classics Hockey League, I oversee league operations, budgeting, technology, branding, and growth for a multi-division organization with hundreds of players. I’ve designed and built the league’s website, implemented advanced stats platforms, and continuously refine the overall presentation and experience.

That work naturally expanded into branding, marketing, and business creation. I’ve developed apparel lines tied to league identity and new ventures, created brand visuals and concepts from the ground up, and built storefronts that connect directly with an engaged audience.

From concept to design to launch, I understand how to take an idea and turn it into something tangible that people recognize and support.

That same mindset carries into ventures like Summer Shift and Crossbars, where branding, audience connection, and overall experience are just as important as the operational side. Whether it’s developing a concept, structuring the business, or building the digital and marketing presence, I approach each project with a focus on long-term viability and quality execution.

Creativity, Execution, and Craft

The creative side has always been part of how I build

Earlier in life, I spent over a decade as the lead singer of a cover band, managing not just the performance side, but the full sound and lighting production. It was a creative outlet that also required leadership, coordination, and consistency – many of the same skills I rely on today.

I also have a strong hands-on side. I’ve rewired boats from bow to stern, upgraded electronics and systems, completed full home renovations, and taken on detailed restoration work, including bringing a 38-year-old set of hockey league trophies back to life.

I enjoy understanding how things work, improving them, and seeing a finished result that reflects care and precision.

Outside of Work

Late afternoons, evenings, and time on the water

When I’m not working on a project or at the rink, I’m usually out on the water. Saltwater fishing is how I reset – late afternoons and evenings, chasing that perfect window to unwind and recharge.

What Stays Consistent

Build it right, stay organized, and follow through

Whether it’s technology, branding, league operations, home projects, or something completely different, I tend to approach it the same way: get organized, understand the details, build it right, and see it through.

What Drives Me

Building things that work – whether that’s a system, a team, a brand, or a business

I’m driven by building things that work. I enjoy taking something with potential, bringing structure and clarity to it, and seeing it develop into something successful and sustainable.

Results matter. Execution matters. But just as important is how you get there – with consistency, accountability, and a standard you can stand behind.

At the end of the day, I take pride in being someone people can rely on – to lead, to build, and to deliver.
